Sonoma Valley Hospital will offer a series of Childbirth Preparation classes beginning Tuesday, March 1. Expecting mothers and their partners will learn the essentials of labor and birth, relaxation techniques and pain relief options. Other topics covered include pregnancy wellness, lactation and breast feeding, and how partners can help.
The class is led by an experienced perinatal nurse from the Hospital’s birthing center, The Birthplace. It is intended for women in their second or third trimester and their partner, and consists of four weekly sessions on consecutive Tuesdays (March 1, 8, 15, and 22). Classes will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sonoma Valley Hospital, and there is a fee of $100. To register, call 707-935-5084.
